Is Your Body Asking for Support? + Reflections from Recent Training

Have you ever noticed your body whispering before it starts to shout?

In my practice, I often meet clients who wait until discomfort becomes pain—or until something just doesn’t feel right anymore—before reaching out for support. But the truth is, our bodies give us early signals. The challenge is learning how to listen.
🔍 Subtle Signs Your Body Might Be Asking for Support
You feel tight or restricted in the same area repeatedly
You’re tired after light activity that used to feel easy
Your posture feels “off,” but you can’t quite fix it
You’re more mentally foggy or emotionally tense than usual
You’ve stopped doing a movement or activity you used to enjoy
You notice asymmetry—one shoulder or hip feels higher or heavier
These are not necessarily “problems”—but they are invitations. Rolfing® Structural Integration helps you re-pattern, release, and reconnect. The earlier we respond to the body’s messages, the more we can prevent deeper compensation or dysfunction.
🌿 My Recent Trainings: A Personal Note

This spring - summer, I had the opportunity to take part in two meaningful trainings.
The first was an Advanced Rolfing® Training in Tokyo—an immersive, multi-week experience that helped me refine my hands-on techniques and deepen the way I listen and respond in each session.
Shortly after, I traveled to Boulder, Colorado, where I participated in a weekend workshop at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute®. Boulder has always felt like a second home to me, and this return helped me reconnect with the roots of my practice and reflect on how much I’ve grown since my student days.
While I regularly engage in continuing education, these two trainings brought a new level of transformation—not just in my skills, but in how I show up: more present, more grounded, and more committed to offering precise, personalized care.
I also had a beautiful and unexpected experience during the workshop in Boulder.
While there, I happened to bump into a former client—someone who had come to see me for sessions a few years ago when he was still a college student. To my surprise and joy, he told me that he had since enrolled at the Rolfing® Institute and was now well into his training.
During the workshop, we practiced the work we were learning through partner exchanges. For the final session, we were paired together—and I had the honor of receiving a full session from him.
Over the years, I’ve had clients who were inspired to become Rolfers, but this was the first time I actually received a session from someone who had experienced the full 10-Series with me and is now walking the path to become my future colleague.
It was a truly special moment—one that filled me with excitement for him and deep gratitude to have played a small part in his journey.
He’s nearly finished with his training, just as I’ve completed my own advanced coursework. We are both continuing to learn, to grow, and to walk this path with dedication—so that we can share this work more deeply with others.
What a gift to witness and be part of each other’s unfolding.
I'm deeply grateful for the support I received to make all these experiences possible, and even more excited to bring this growth into our session work.
